SYNOPSIS

With adult help, children can create their own books, even children who do not know how to read. In this two-hour workshop for adults, teenagers or a parent and child pair, participants make their own books. Materials (paper, colour pencils, crayons) to make the books will be provided. Two overlapping methods are used to create these books. First, children can use other books as models, for example, children can substitute themselves and their families for the characters in the books. Second, children can write books based on their own experiences. The role of adults will vary depending on the children, but children will always have a role in creating the books, even if it is limited to drawing.

This is an introductory-level workshop suitable for participants with no experience or beginner level experience. This session is not appropriate for children who are already writing books. It is not a master class; it is a beginner class. Teachers are also welcome.
One ticket allows admission for one adult and one child (3 years and above), up to two children per adult.
